GOVERNANCE & PROJECT STRUCTURE

Governance & Project Structure

Brookfields ABYC Pty Ltd, ACN 696 805 062, is the project developer.

52 Degree Foundation Limited, ABN 89 682 805 072, is the contracted purchaser of the Yacht Club component following execution of the contract and payment of the deposit. It is an Australian charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is the legal not-for-profit entity behind Airlie Beach Yacht Club.

The four-level structured public car park remains a separate commercial infrastructure opportunity.

Following formal handover, Airlie Beach Yacht Club will operate as the community-based Club through its own governance and management structure.

PROJECT REPRESENTATION

Project Preparation & Representation

Website administration authority has been granted to the contracted purchaser, 52 Degree Foundation Limited, enabling project contracts, procurement, logistics, membership preparation, partnerships and operational planning to progress ahead of formal handover.

Brookfields ABYC Pty Ltd remains responsible for the property development. Airlie Beach Yacht Club will assume Club representation and day-to-day operations through its own Committee and management structure following handover.

2032 & THE WHITSUNDAYS

2032 & the Whitsundays

ABYC is progressing during an important period for Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays as the region prepares for increased sailing, tourism and infrastructure visibility approaching Brisbane 2032.

The Club is being conceived as permanent infrastructure for the community and region rather than a temporary Games-related project.

ABYC is not an official Olympic or Paralympic venue, sponsor or partner unless formally announced otherwise by the relevant authority.

PEDDLE THORP ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

Architecture, landscape and interiors developed as one.

Peddle Thorp Architecture & Design is leading the coordinated architecture, landscape and interior design of the proposed Airlie Beach Yacht Club, shaping the project as one complete response to its tropical waterfront setting.
