About the role
Lead the pre-opening and operational delivery of ABYC across hospitality, recreation, retail, transport and member services. The General Manager will translate the approved Club strategy into practical systems, recruit and lead department heads and report performance to the authorised governance and management structure.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate operational readiness, policies, systems, budgets and opening milestones for the planned 2027 launch.
- Recruit, lead and hold department managers accountable for service, safety, compliance and financial performance.
- Own annual budgets, forecasts, labour controls, procurement oversight, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Maintain licensing, WHS, emergency, risk, privacy and incident-management standards across the venue.
- Build trusted relationships with members, guests, suppliers, community stakeholders and professional advisers.
Skills and experience
- Seven or more years in senior club, resort, hotel, hospitality or multi-outlet venue leadership.
- Demonstrated accountability for significant budgets, large multidisciplinary teams and measurable operating results.
- Strong governance reporting, commercial judgement, people leadership and member or guest-service capability.
- Current RSA and RMLV or approved-manager eligibility if appointed to licensed-venue management responsibilities.
Desirable qualifications
- Degree or diploma in hospitality, business, management or a related discipline.
- Pre-opening, waterfront, private-club, marina, resort or major-event experience.
