No official Olympic or Paralympic partnership, sponsorship or venue status is claimed. The Club's 2032 positioning refers to the wider sailing, tourism and infrastructure opportunity for Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays approaching Brisbane 2032.

No affiliation is implied. Those institutions are referenced only as international benchmarks when considering yacht-club governance, competition, membership and hospitality standards.
CLUBWhat is Airlie Beach Yacht Club?
Airlie Beach Yacht Club is a proposed new Yacht Club for Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, combining membership, sailing, competition, hospitality, recreation and community participation within a purpose-designed waterfront Club.
COMMITTEECan I express interest in joining the Club Committee?
Yes. The Foundation is progressing appointments to the inaugural Club Committee and is accepting expressions of interest from appropriately experienced candidates.

Airlie Beach Yacht Club is a registered business name of 52 Degree Foundation Limited, ABN 89 682 805 072, an Australian charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
GOVERNANCEIs 52 Degree Foundation Limited the developer?
No. 52 Degree Foundation Limited is the not-for-profit legal entity behind Airlie Beach Yacht Club. The development role is separate and sits with the project SPV.
GOVERNANCEWho is the Commodore?
Alejandro Romano is Commodore of Airlie Beach Yacht Club. His Club responsibilities include membership development, Founding Members and Partners, sponsorship, competitions, external relationships, marketing and public representation. Club governance and operations sit within the Committee and management structure.
MEMBERSHIPDo I need to own a boat to become a member?
No. Boat ownership will not be required. Membership is intended for people with a genuine interest in the Club, the Whitsundays and its social, sporting or community life.
PARTNERSHIPSAre Founding Partner opportunities available?
Yes. The Club is progressing a limited Founding Partner programme and has received strong early enquiry across a range of commercial sectors. Participation is by invitation and private negotiation through the Corporate and Partnerships team.
PROJECTIs Airlie Beach Yacht Club open?
No. The Club and proposed Clubhouse are in development. Opening dates and final operating arrangements have not been confirmed.
PROJECTWho is developing the property?
Brookfields ABYC Pty Ltd, ACN 696 805 062, is the project developer.
PROJECTHas the Development Application been approved?
No. The Development Application is targeted for submission in September 2026. The proposal remains subject to statutory assessment and approval.
PROJECTWhat does the A$14 million figure represent?
It represents the current approximate proposed Yacht Club building component and does not automatically represent the total value of every component of the wider development. The figure remains subject to final cost planning, design and procurement.
