RESPONSIBLE DESIGN
Practical responses for a tropical coastal environment.
ABYC is being planned for a tropical coastal environment where heat, rainfall, water use, energy demand, waste and marine protection require practical responses.\n\nDesign development will consider passive shade, efficient building services, water-conscious landscaping, durable coastal materials and systems that reduce unnecessary energy and resource use.\n\nOperational planning will address procurement, food and glass waste, recycling, water efficiency, chemical handling, single-use materials and responsible event delivery.\n\nSpecific environmental commitments will be published only when the relevant technical work has been completed and can be measured.
